The catacombs of Saint Augustine, named after the Augustinian brothers...
Description
The catacombs of St. Augustine, named after the Augustinian friars who owned the land, were originally part of the vast cemetery outside the walls of Melite. Today’s entrance leads to a set of three small hypogeums that contain a number of canopied tombs and triclines.
